Our nurses will start by talking through, how to sample, how to prepare your slide, how to use/set up a microscope, maintenance and care of the microsocpe and then work through identification of what is on the slides.
We will then jump in to practical sessions of looking at loads of different slides with different bacteria/cells/yeasts to help build up confidence of what we are looking at down a microscope. We will also give you slides to prepare/stain and identify for practice. There is plenty space and opportunity for questions and 1to1 support. You will then be sent home with some samples to practice when back in practice and a booklet to support you day to day when doing cytology.
